FAQs

How do I Obtain a Library Card

If you are a Calumet City resident as evidenced by the address on your government-issued ID card (driver’s license, state ID, etc.), bring that in along with a piece of mail bearing the same name and address as the ID card dated within the last 30 days to the Circulation Desk. You will be issued a card the same day you apply.

If you live in another city, please go to your city’s library to find out what you need in order to take advantage of the free services the library offers. And chances are that once you receive a card from your city’s library, you may be able to use that card here at Calumet City Public Library to check out certain materials.
