T-YAB MEETINGS  

The Calumet City Public Library Teen Youth Advisory Board (T-YAB) is open to any student in grades 9 – 12, and planning meetings are held the first Monday of every month at 6:30 PM in the Library Community Room.  Please contact Lisa Ybarra at 708-862-6220 ext. 2 for additional information.  

TEEN GAME DAY

T-YAB will sponsor a Teen Game Day for students in grades 9 – 12 on Saturday, February 7, from 12:00 Noon to 3:00 PM.  Game challenges will include Clue, Cranium, Taboo, Trouble, Sorry, and many more.  Members of T-YAB will provide the games.  Participants will not be allowed to bring their own games or cards.  Refreshments will be served, and there will be drawings for prizes.  Please contact Lisa Ybarra at 708-862-6220 ext. 2 for additional information.    

OPEN MIKE NIGHT  

Do you have a talent that you would like to share?  T-YAB will sponsor another popular Open Mike Night on Wednesday, March 18, at 7:00 PM.  All students 13 – 19 years of age are invited to participate.  Applications for participants are available at the Adult Services Reference Desk and must be returned by March 18.  Performances are limited to five minutes and can be any form of music, dance, theater, comedy, poetry, or even juggling!  Material performed must be appropriate for all audiences.  The public is invited to be a part of the audience and to encourage our future stars.  Please contact Lisa Ybarra at 708-862-6220 ext. 2 for additional information.
