  LAMINATING AT THE LIBRARY

The Calumet City Library laminates materials on Monday and Thursday morning. Patrons may bring items to be laminated no later than 10:30AM on these days. The charge for
lamination is .75 cents per foot or any fraction thereof. Items to be laminated must be no wider than 23 inches and have no staples or metal.
We do not laminate Social Security cards or
Drivers Licenses.

Enlarged photographs and some paper colors are heat sensitive and may turn dark. Every caution is used in handling materials, however the Library will not be responsible for damage or loss of materials left for lamination. Therefore we request that all materials left for lamination be picked up within 1 week after laminated.

             DVD CARE TIPS

1. To remove a DVD from the case, press the center hub button inside the case. Using the other hand, gently remove the disc by its outer edge. Never remove by prying the outer edge.

2. Handle disc only from the edges or the center hole. Never bend or twist discs.

3. Do not touch disc surface or stack discs.

4. When putting disc into player, make sure disc is properly seated in tray before closing door.
Single-sided discs should be inserted with titles and art work facing up.

5. Wipe discs gently with soft cotton cloth only in a radial direction (a straight line between the hub and rim); never in a circle. Avoid use of paper products.

6. Do not use any abrasive solvents or cleaning solutions.

7. Always store disc in its protective case away from extreme heat or direct sunlight. Never leave on dash board or seat in car.
