ANNOUNCING ECOMMERCE

Starting November 15, pay your overdue fines and fees for lost or damaged materials at your convenience from the comfort of your home via the Internet or a computer in the library. 
Ecommerce will accept your MasterCard, Visa or 
Discover credit card. However it will not accept debit cards. Contact the Circulation Desk at 
862-6220 extension 1, or pick up a brochure at the library for more information.

          HOLIDAY BOOK SALE
During the month of December the library will be having a special used book sale for those last minute shoppers. The two for the price of one books will be located on the Christmas book sale cart December  3 - 22. 

Stop in and browse our collection. Items will be added  periodically.

CHRISTMAS CONCERT

Under the direction of Dr. Michael Koller and his assistant Michael Cierski, the Celebration Choir of St. Victor will perform an hour long concert of religious music and Christmas carols at the Calumet City Public Library on Sunday, December 16, at 2 PM.  The concert will feature not only choir pieces, but also soloists and opportunities for the audience to join the choir in singing familiar Christmas carols, as well as some favorite ethnic carols. Instrumentalists (flutes, guitar, and keyboard) and handbells will accompany the choir. Join us and get into the Holiday Spirit. Refreshments will be served.          KIDWORKS TOURING
         THEATRE  COMPANY

On Monday, December 17 from 6:30 to 7:15 PM, the Kidworks will present “Holidays Around the World“ for ages 4 and older (parents welcome). Registration begins December 10.
Space is limited. 


Join Kidworks as they bring alive holiday traditions celebrated around the globe. Come act out the first Christmas Tree story from Germany, play the Channukah Dreidel game, beat the drum in an African-American Kwanzaa ceremony, sing Feliz Navidad and parade under the Dragon in a 
Chinese New Year celebration. You’ll want to be part of this program loaded with participation!


VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!

Volunteers are always welcome at the Calumet City Public Library.  Students requiring confirmation hours may fulfill all or part of their required service hours at the library.  However, we do not accept volunteers who need to fill court-appointed hours.

Fill out a volunteer application at the Circulation Desk.  Be sure to indicate the days/times you will be available.  You may put in hours in any department that needs a volunteer.
